Hi to all. I am in need of input. I am changing over a 1986 Jeep from a standard to an automatic, I would like to stay with the original type of auto that was in this year vehicle. It has the 6 cylinder engine, I think 258 cu in. I have checked with salvage yards but they want anywhere from $1000 to $1500 for a 
USED TRANS exchange. This is just for the trans. So I was thinking of an adapter plate from engine(258AMC) to trans(chev 350) and Adapter from trans(350 chev) to Jeep transfer case. Anyone know :roll: if this is possible. Also some company that might have such an item. Please e-mail crowder@gilanet.com
