250 or 292 Turbo for the street??

Hello guys.
I am building a 62 Chevy II and I want to use a turbo six with a 700-R4 overdrive automatic.
I want to make about 450-500hp in a daily driver.
I have a 250 and a 292 here and can build either. Which one???
292s have reliability problems after 5k and the total cost is an issue.
I can only do this once so I need to get it right!!!

I'd still go for the 292, but keep the revs down under 6000.

Mild turbo cam with minimal overlap, 12-psi boost, good fuel management, forged rods and a good oiling system. I think you can get there.

450hp would be a lot cheaper with a 6.0 LQ9 LSx with an LS6 cam, intake, and heads, though.

NO V-8. I want to keep the six, just which one. I have had turbo 250's in two cars, several trubo configurations. I like the turbo 6 and made about 350hp on my last engine with almost dead stock engine. HP from 1/8 performance calculated.
I need to know if the low end torque of the 292 is worth the extra expense of the balance and rod issues of the bigger stroke, what mileage differences with either engine.
