I6 Manifold Removal

I can't seem to find a clear answer, so I thought I would ask the experts.
I need to remove the intake/exhaust manifold assembly off of my 223 I6 engine. Do I need to drain the coolant before I crack this open?

If it's stock, there shouldn't be any coolant running around the intake manifold.

I just pulled mine off a couple weeks ago and the only thing that fell out were two halves of the exhaust maifold.

Thanks.

Now all I have to do is gather the courage to start taking things apart. It makes me feel a bit like a surgeon operating on a 90 year old that has never had any surgery. You never know what surprises await.

Well here goes.................. :arg:

Well, I found that getting the engine hot helped with loosening the bolts. Just go slow and it all work out.
