I am putting a 223 in my '48 F-1 sold the broken flathead V-8 & trans today & engine bay is empty. Can not wait.").....Dude
 
Cool, let us know how it goes. Which trans are you using?

I still have the 215 that came out of my '52 F-1.....I may put it back in if gas prices keep going up!
 
I have the three speed that came with the '62 and the three speed that came with a '53 .. They look alike. I will probaly go with the three speed .. 8) .. Dude
 
223" in a '48. Neat. That should to confuse the lookers! :shock: The 223" will probably out perform a stock flathead.
 
I just found a web site that has an adapter for my 223 for AOD. Going call & get prices Monday... It always scares me when they do not have the price & you have to ask.....Dude :|
