This belongs to one of the guys in my truck club. I pulled his & had it gone through at a local machine shop & then reinstalled it. It's a happy truck now

Looks good. We have a 226 in our 49 coupe. I was wondering if we could put the head on a milling machine and cut grooves...spaced to look like fins? have see the old school alum heads, nice but, very costly...just a thought I have been kicking around. Do you have figure it cost to go thru the machine shop and rebuild? I see where we can go to Kantler (sp) all the necessary NEW parts. Thanks
