Spark plug analysis

Post #1 by peeeot » Sun Feb 11, 2018 11:17 am

I have been noticing some funny colors on my spark plug insulators for a while now. Attached are three photos from cylinder 1's plug: back, front, and front again after using a fine dremel wire brush on the insulator. I though it strange that the insulator turned silvery because I used the same wire brush on the external white ceramic and it polished it clean. Any thoughts on what you see here?

Any thoughts on the pink and yellow colors on the insulator?
