my carter is in dire need of replacement, 35 yrs of service has done it in.
i tried to replace with autolite 1100, but it will not fit.
more specifically, linkage will hit the the intake base plate/linkage bracket.
the air cleaner will not fit also. the air horn is too short. i have a closed air system as this is a CA car- no snorkel on the air cleaner.
my current carb has a tall air cleaner mount bracket and doesnt look like ones i've seen on the web.
any leads on a supplier for a proper fitting autolite or carter?
i'm in So. CA.
