1960 F100 223 cam spacer question

Hey All,

Need help with cam spacer. Tore 223 engine down, had it machined, and Durning rebuild hit a snag with manual calling for cam spacer. Didn't notice one on tear down and looked through all my boxes 10 times....anyone know if they came with spacer and if so, where to buy one. Internet search has turned up empty.

Thanks in advance and hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Dave

Hi Dave,
Pretty sure this doesn't help

"...Cam / timing gear spacer (called “Wedding Ring”)

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=77502&p=596630&hilit=cam+spacer+dimensions#p596630

Hardened steel = .165 thick
OD: = a Circle w/ 1.357
ID (hole in middle) = 1.010
Which is 45* chamfered w/lower toward center started .090 frm the edge
So that it leaves .062 beneath it @ its lowest point
This spacer fits w/the chamfer against the cam,
then cam pin goes in.
Cam thrust / retainer plate next
followed by the cam timing gear
held on w/ a bolt and thick washer..."

B'cuz it's for some of the '60 - '83 small six (Thriftpower) motors not urs. However if U click on the thread & ask again re the 223 I bet 1 of our folks will post 2 U.
Best of the Season...
