This may be a dumb question but I will ask away. On the stock 215, what is the purpose of the loop in the steel vacuum line? It just jumped out at me today.

Usually they put those in there to add some strain relief. A coiled up steel line can flex a bit, just like a spring. A straight line might not and would eventually fail from vibration.
