1966 Galaxie with 240 6 / questions

Post #1 by JLAudio_Galaxie » Sun Jul 21, 2013 8:14 am

I am new to this forum and I have been waiting months to be activated. I guess you just had to send an email lol I'm here now and that's all that matters.
I purchased this car with issues and now I'm trying to sort everything out. I have a few extra springs that he swears go somewhere on the engine but I have no idea where. Maybe I could post a few pictures of my engine from different angles and some of you could tell me things that are wrong or missing from my engine? This car does run and drive but I'm worried about it having extra parts. I got it for a good price because the starter and ring gear were all ate up. I had to replace the flexplate and the starter so now it starts right up. I would like to get everything in good working order so I can start driving it on the road. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the site JLAudio_Galaxie, the pictures will be a big help. As. Guess though some of the big Fords of that era had a double spring for throttle return, and there would be one for the kick down (down shift) rod. Good luck

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.
