If I remember correctly ? :hmmm: Ford car or light truck, 71? or later. With 2 V Carb. Some had a bracket for throttle cable that mounted on back 2 studs for Carb. Others had bracket that mounted to Intake (V8 Engine). If using the later, would have to fab. bracket to mount cable @ carb. I think most cable/pedal assy. from 71? to 84-85? with 2V carb., could be made to work. :hmmm: A trip to the salvage yard needed. Maybe some fab. work (welding?) for bracket @ Carb... Im sure others on here can add/improve on my thoughts. :D

on my 80 bronc I went to auto Zone a bought a throttle cable for a 85-86 F150 with a 5.0 EFI engine
THat way you get a much longer cable to work with. I also used a Spectre? Aftermarket carb throttle cable mount bracket.

Some parts houses, speed shops, Summit, etc., carry the brackets.

Isn't the problem the orientation of the carb being 90 degrees off the long way relative to a bent 8 2v? My 390 holley pulls from the back like a V8 but a two barrel would seem to need a lot more cable. I'm interested since this is my next move, so I can close the hole in my van's doghouse which makes my electric choke a passenger, in the cab with me. Not so good in winter. Meaning now.

Autozone had it on the shelf. If I remember Right it had quite a few adjustments on it as well.
