300 distributor

Post #1 by Angelking » Sun Jun 18, 2017 6:33 pm

My block is an '81 according to the numbers. It did not come with a distributor. I am building a track roadster themed car with this engine. Did the 300 ever come with a points distributor? Would any other points distributor such as out of a 302 work with this engine?

THanks

A 302 won't work for several reasons. A 240 will work. There are aftermarket ones too - Mallory, etc. There were 300 engines with points.
