That manifold is made to fit the small Ford Six'es (144, 170, 200, or 250's) it won't fit the Ford 240 or 300 big six'es. Good luck

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

If you want something similar you can make a 3 x 1 intake from three stock intakes, using the two center runners from each intake. Go to http://www.inliners.org and look under tech tips for a photo essay.

I have seen this before in another thread and would love to make a setup like this some day. This will clear the efi exhaust manifolds? What does the throttle linkage look like? Any tips to assist in set up? (idle, choke, synchronizing....) Does the plumbing for coolant on the underside make this something that could be run in cool or cold climates?

I haven't tried it with EFI exhausts - I assume it would work.

I use an intermediate shaft that has three bell cranks to open all three carbs simultaneously. It can be activated by the stock cable with a bracket rework.

Find three intakes with the same carb stud spacing. There are two - 2 11/16 or 2 15/16. Or file carb bases to fit.
A special extended manifold lug clamp will be needed for the front carb as not all mounting lugs have identical locations. Painted orange in the pics.

One center choke should be sufficient.

You could plumb all three heat boxes for coolant heating if desired. Or not.

I finally got the three intakes to cut up and have started this. I tried to look up the photo essay on inliners but it seems they have changed or up graded their site and I can't seem to find it. I have a bare head I am using to make sure things line up and i have added material to the lugs so they line up with the clamping bolts. With a tig and some good filler these intake weld pretty nice once they are cleaned up. I was wondering if it would be ok to index/clock the carbs 90' to make the plumbing and throttle linkage a bit easier?

Would something like this be worth putting in as an intake option in the list of stickies?

I found the above referenced article by FTF on the triple carb intake. It's on the Inliners site, but in a really obscure location. Go to their forum and Ford then there are "Tech Tips" on the LH side.

You could but it may introduce unforeseen consequences like cornering issues. There are three double bolt bosses left on the valve cover side of the runners which are a perfect place to mount a shaft for bell cranks to pull the throttles using short links with ball ends.

I would think so but I'm a little biased.
