Scorpion Pedestal Mount Roller Rockers

Post #1 by old28racer » Mon Mar 26, 2018 3:31 pm

Has anyone used the Scorpion 1059 pedestal mounted 1.73 ratio roller rockers on their 300 1987-97 EFI head?

Are they mounted on a 5/16" stud in the original hole with a poly lock or are they bolted down with a 5/16 bolt and shimmed to correct setting?

Do you have to mill or modify the pedestal?

Any pictures of an installed setup?

I found some 5/16" grade 8 studs and poly locks on line. Will they work for this installation ?

The Scorpion 1059 comes with pedestals and mounting hardware.
Simply unbolt stock rockers and pedestals and replace with Scorpion roller rockers, pedestal mount and new bolts.
Here is what should be in the box.

I tried calling them for verification but I was too late. Will call tomorrow for the following reason.

Scorpion just came out with a 1.73 ratio, pedestal mount, adjustable roller rocker for the Ford big block.
They should fit the 4.9 pedestal head without any problem.

Summit also sells shims for the pedestals.

pmuller9 -- Thanks for the reply. Will be interested on what you find out from Scorpion on the BBF units?
