HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE - FORD'S R&E CENTER

Post #1 by THE FRENCHTOWN FLYER » Tue Feb 26, 2019 1:59 pm

A co-worker recently sent me this digest describing the Dearborn Ford Research and Engineering center, circa 1950s. I spent 31 years of my working career in and amongst these buildings (although my office was located in the Engine Engineering Center, down the street [Oakwood Blvd.] adjacent to what was then called Greenfield Village.) Of particular interest to you gearheads might be the Dynamometer Building described in pages 32 - 42, where I did the bulk of my testing on some of Ford's finest engines.
Enjoy!

? I clicked the link you posted and ended up in some g mail advertisment. my sister used to rent an appartment in the greenfield village a few years back. The ford museum near there is pretty neat.

Sorry. I'll try to tinker with the downloaded file and get it to display.
