Not bad. It looks like a Chinese copy of the Headman in 304SS. Wish they had copied the Comp for tube diameter, but still a good deal for what it is.

Stainless plus free shipping for that price. Can't beat that.

I would assume these would also work on a 240 in a 68 F100? I am beginning to lean towards a clifford and some headers instead of the factory setup.

They should. I had Headmans in a 70 F100 w/ 240. Expect some work getting them fitted like any header, but possibly some more being China made.

If not a typo and it is 1.5 OD is that not a little small for a 50 ci cylinder ...Probably ok on a low rpm high torque engine.

I can’t comment on those China headers, but I can on the China stainless headers for Harley’s. They are made ok and work ok, but are very thin gauge so they are very hot. The type of stainless deteriorates and will rust.

It is on the small side. Same size as the Hedman headers for the 300, which is why I wish they'd have copied the 1-5/8" Hooker headers, as well as the better merge design.

They claim 16ga for the tubing, which is also the same as the Hedmans. Surprisingly the Hooker headers show to be only 18ga.

My experience with Chinese "304 SS" has also been that they will eventually rust some. Many times the head flange used is still mild steel.

I still say it's probably a better deal than the uncoated Headman mild steel for around the same price, or even more for the Headman.

I slap cheapo SS eBay headers on my shitboxes whenever I need to replace an OEM manifold/downpipe with an integrated cat. They tarnish but they don't rust out and I'm highly satisfied with them for the price. I have so many EFI manifolds lying around I'm not sure I'd buy these though.

I don't really care about having the SS look, but I would rather keep them looking as good as possible for as long as possible. Has anyone tried using the VHT Flameproof coatings? Supposedly when cured it's pretty durable. Wondering if it would be worth a shot when I do this rebuild.

I've used it but not on stainless. I can confirm it's quite durable.

That's my concern is using it on stainless. I guess I ought to give a call to VHT and see what they say. They have a primer for it as well. I looked at the hedmans that are regular painted and they are about the same price. I would guess that if I went that route I would need to strip the paint before the the VHT. In my limited experience with high temp paint and headers, you're wasting your time. I am hoping the VHT is much more durable. Ford Corporate blue motor with black headers and Offy intake would look really good.

Called VHT. The recommended a good cleaning and degreasing followed by the primer and then the color. Most of the problems I’ve read about wee people trying to use it on Harley pipes.
