Charge air tubing

If my turbo compressor outlet is 2 inches should the tubing maintain that diameter from turbo to intercooler to carb or should it be larger. I understand at some point too large of a diameter will cause more lag. I'm just trying to figure what size the tubing should be. Thanks.

I used 2" tube on mine, and my turbo had a 2" outlet, but I also had a pretty short run all told. I'm currently replacing it with 2.5" since I'm adding an intercooler and changing the intake manifold which will mean running turbo piping clear around the engine bay.

I wouldn't go any larger than the smallest constriction.

I did math one day for somebody who was trying to figure out an exhaust system a while back. Maybe it would be useful for you too?

I know on a lot of Factory Turbo Systems. The piping off the Compressor most the time, would get a little smaller. (Saab, Nissan) But, they are Factory Street tune Cars.
