Cam w/turbo

What works well on these engines with a turbo?

I’ll be using an HX35W. Most likely piped from EFI manifolds to split scroll. (Unless I get real ambitious and fab a manifold)
EFI intake.
Intercooler
Most of the time it will see conservative boost, but I will turn it up.
I still want it good off idle and in traffic w/manual trans 4x4 f150 w/3.08 gears

I was thinking of something like this Ultradyne grind.
The second one down, 272/272 adv, 217/217 @.050” .485/.485 w/1.6 RR, 112.

Thoughts?

The 300 six maintains good low end torque thru a wide range of camshaft durations.
The Ultradyne grind you chose has relatively high valve lift on moderate duration lobes that are on a wider 112* LSA.

It should work well with a HX35W.

They give you a quote on price and lead time?

Bullet cams has all the Ultradyne Masters. (Ultradyne closed around 2005?). I haven’t contacted Bullet, but they are quick on turnaround. I’m not sure what they get for a hyd flat tappet cam.
.......

I also contacted Mike Jones of Jones cam designs this week. He’s done a few custom cams for me before. His stuff works very well and is of high quality.

His rec was close to the Ultradyne grind I’m interested in.

Jones:
216/216 @.050"
.305"/.305" Lobe Lift
112 LSA

He is at two weeks lead time.

That should work nicely.

Mike Jones did my last 300 six cam. Worked very well.
I like his hydraulic lifters. They have limited plunger travel.
