Nice one! . Looks like Aussie is the place to find rare US 2-bbls becasue there are so many I6's around.

Shame Holley didn't keep making the 2305 series carbs, they are perfect for X-flows!

I went through my last 5 cds in information on this forum and other google searches done over the last 3 1/2 years of being internet-able. I've seen only a few 2305 350 cfm carbs for sale on Evil Bay. 500 cfm items are rare.

The key is that just the 2305 series 350 alone is a great 32/36 DGAV or 34 ADM upgrade in the 98 to 141 hp Pinto, Cortina and Falcon. It was designed as a carb for little US VW engined Rabbits (Golf) and Plymouth Omins, and also 2.0 or 2.3 Pintos and Chrylser K-cars.

The 2305 series 500 is better than a 38DGAS or 40 DCD carb as used on the 140 to 175 hp X-pak Capris, and was designed for the 2.6/2.8 Ford V6's, Chevy S10 and Camaro 2.8's.

The fact that these are mechanically staged carbs is a huge bonus.

Don't let go of it!

For those of you casting the drag net, here are some 2305 series 350/500 Holley basics, and part numbers

The 2305 series 350 cfm has Part Number 80120, has standard primary jet 52, secondary 65, power valve is 8.5, and used to have a 37-749 renew kit.

The big bad 2305 series 500 above was part numbered 80095, has standard primary jet 55, secondary 73, power valve is 8.5, and used to have a 37-749 renew kit.

Don't get it mixed up with the older 2300 series as found in old AMC's, International Trucks or as a huge aftermarket replacement for any 2-bbl on a V8 or I6. They are different to the 2305.

The so called 350 and 500 are common, and often end up on 265 Valiants, 302W's, 302C's, many 351's and 327 or 350 Chev's. There is even a rare as hens teeth #6425 650 cfm 2300 series speedway carb.

IHI and AMC had factory 280 cfm variants with the oddball 280cfm 343 or 392 International V8 trucks. For a while, the 355 cfm #4782 and # 4883 500 cfm Economaster variants were sold to V8 guys during the gas crunch years. They have funny eight slot booster venturis which look like it has swallowed a turbo blade.
There are all maner of other bits on them. Some have similar float bowls, and look so similar, you'd never pick it unless you have another breed of the other carb to check it against. Bascially, any IH or AMC from 1963 with have one, while they are still being made today.

There are more than 9 part numbers I know of, and there are others still coming out from the Holley sources in the states
4412 , 500cfm, 73 jets, 5.0 power valve
4412-1, 500 cfm 73 jets, 5.0, auto kickdown rod
4782, 355 cfm, 64 jets, 6.5 power valve
4783, 500, 82 jets, blanked off power valve
6425, 650 cfm , 82, 6.5
7448, 350 cfm 61, 8.5
8208, 280 cfm (Mr Gasket, aka Slade had one)
9117, 320 cfm Economaster
9647, 500 cfm 81 mains, 4.5 power valve.

I've got some pictures which may be of some help, but they are not in the same orientation, and would just confuse people.

List numbers are stamped into on the top barrel close to the true lift when you are sitting behind the carb, with the float barrel pointing forwards.

The stock intake has been very much ported out.

A nice thing about it is the stock accel cable hooks straight up with that little alloy piece you can see hanging off it.
