And finally the yellow stripe put on yesterday.
Will finish it off with a black 1/4" pin stripe beside the yellow.

Next weekend we'll take it out to the 'All Ford Day' show as a 'in progress'
This weekend we're off racing at the Super V8's round.

Looking good.

Thanks mate

Today was our annual All Ford Day and we took the Special down along with the old mans fifth wheeler and my Escort (mates GT40 was next to us).

Funny thing was he took out 'Best race car' for the day :D

Wow it's been a joy to follow this project. Great job by you and your Dad.

Thanks Guys
The old man is on holidays for 3 weeks, so progress will stop and it'll give me some time to crack on with my project.

When he returns, it will be electrics and engine build up.

Well, it's been a while since I last posted
Electrics done, engine built and going in. Should only be a week or so before we have noise :D
Then out for its first run in the January meeting.

Here's a few pics of the engine going together.

Few of the head...
Managed to get 0.080" off the head + using the AU head gasket (0.025" against 0.050") + a light clean up of the block, 0.010"
CR will be in the mid 11:1's. Will be running BP98 pump fuel.

Bit of port work, nothing to fancy.

Biggest limitation was the inlet valve relief. The first cam supplied had the cam details listed as at the valve, but was actually at the cam lobe. Made it much larger than we wanted.
Had to have it reground to the right specs.
