Glad to find thi forum! Recently bought a 63 a Falcon Futura Convertable for my son and I to restore for a daily driver when he turns 16. Needs the usual body work you would expect for a car from the upper Midwest. Since it runs our initial focus is engine, transmission and breaks.

Look forward to learning from the forum.

Welcome to the Ford Six forum Reinking, congrats on acquiring a 63 Futura Convert they are great looking cars. Good luck to you and your son, you will be building lots more than a car doing this restoration togeather.
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Glad you found this place.
I used a product called Rustmort? It seems to neutralize rust from what I remember and got it at the auto paint supply store. You still have to patch holes though but moderate surface rust it takes care of well.
