Hello from southern Ohio

Post #1 by cometcolin » Sat Nov 03, 2018 1:01 pm

Just wanted to say hello and tell everyone how happy I am to be here!

Ive been building Falcon Ford inlines since the early 90s. The newest project is my 1976 Mercury Comet 250 c.i.d. Its really great to see that a place like this is around and so popular... heck back in the 90s not only could you never find any parts.....everybody (the v8 guys) thought you were crazy for building an inline 6.

Thanks again,
Colin

A big welcome to the Ford Six forums Colin, it's great to have another long time Ford inline six enthusiast. Good luck on your 76 Comet 250!
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Welcome! I'm a southern Ohio guy myself, over in Cincinnati. Where are you located?

Glad you found this place it is pretty awesome. I am a big fan of the 250. All that nice low end torque.

Colin, I'm in the eastside (Anderson). There's a Cars and Coffee every saturday morning at Fuel Coffee down on Riversie Dr. Usually runs from 8-11ish. The colder it gets, the less people show up. They have a Facebook page as well.

Are you still in Cincinnati?

Cheers,
Matthew

Im not only still in Cincinnati, I live, work and play in the eastside (Anderson) also! How cool is that....

Sounds like a plan (cars and coffee), Ive been pass it many times but never stopped. The Comet is down for the winter (upgrading suspension this year) but this spring let me know when you go down to it and I'll meet you there.

Thanks, Colin
