Another Finn to the site

Post #1 by Firebolt » Tue Dec 05, 2017 6:06 am

Hi all,

I've been reading this site randomly, and finally decided to register.

My car has already been introduced here as 80Stangs old fox, now without Classic Inlines head.

I'm making EFI for this engine, so I'll post some questions later when I figure out what needs to be asked.

Thanks.

It's 1980 Mustang notchback with 200 small six. I've been welding it together for a few years now, it was pretty rusty when i got it. And I bought 10" wide wheels to it so needed some modification to fit them.

Now it is getting Ford Six Performance header (again... http://ponikorjaamo.com/ti80/header.htm ) and Clay Smith 274/274 cam, so nothing new there.

Suspension is getting modified also, I'm changing steering rack to make front wheels turn and move them ~5" forward so fenders are hacked and welded. Brakes will come out of various vehicles, rotors from Chrysler 300C, front calipers from Toyota Landcruiser and rear is still open (maybe Volvo 4 piston front calipers).

Rearend is Ford 8.8" with homemade torque-arm and watts link.

The engine just is, I need to take head off and check it more, to know what else needs to be done. I decided to drill 6 holes to log for injectors and use megasquirt to control them.

A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.
