Hi from Iowa

Looking forward to participating on this site, I've got a lot of learning ahead of me.

A little about me-

I'm a tool and die maker. Have built and do build tooling for FoMoCo and other automotive companies and suppliers.

I currently own 2 300 sixes, one is the wife's '94 Club Wagon, the other is my '65 F100 3 speed.

All told I have owned 6 300s. Hoping to add a '67 or '68 F100 or 250 to the mix this year.

My plans are to make a mileage getter out of the '65 this year. I commute 70 miles daily and would like to run her to work at least twice a week.

I own a Bridgeport, a lathe, and a surface grinder which will help in building and modifying parts to test ideas out.

Happy New year everyone!

Happy New Year and a big welcome to the Ford Six site 300cidguy. The 1965 project is one I will enjoy hearing about its one of my favorite trucks I had and used a 65 F350 for many years. Good luck on your build up and post lots of pictures of your 65.
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I will certainly document with photos what I tweak on the '65, and will include photos of machining setups and operations.

I'm not an ace mechanic I build and fix dies, so I'm gonna have questions for you engine guys about a lot of things. This is new territory for me altogether!
