just installed my new Holley/Weber 5200 and Stovebolt adapter on my 200. Stovebolt has the carbs rebuilt for $65 and they have a few new ones for $85. I went ahead and purchased one of their new ones, and the adapter is $15. This engine came out of an '82 Fairmont and has the Duraspark II ignition. It ran better than the old 170 I pulled out, but it was still somewhat of a dog. The new carb installed easily and the only mod I had to do was put in a longer piece of fuel line. Its running great and pulls hills in 3rd gear now!! This was a great upgrade! Now, I'll be saving up for a header and hopefully that'll give me a little extra boost as well. This is the best upgrade, besides power steering, that I've put on the Bronco so far!

Oh yeah, the stud for the breather mount is just barely touching the hood and is rubbing the paint. I am planning a body lift soon and that will fix that problem. Be aware of this if you plan this upgrade. There might be another solution but I ordered the breather that Stovebolt offers for their carbs.

Hey bro, just happened to be reading about it this morning in a book I have on Weber carbs: the DCD and it's replacements, the DGV and DFAV, are direct bolt on replacements for the Holley 5200 series. I ran across that little bit of info and thought it might be useful if you ever need to replace or switch to something else...

Yeah a 1" BL will fix that plus it looks kind of good if you are stock height now. Every Bronco should have power steering it makes it a much nicer ride. Nice to hear about the improved performance with your new carb and good to have more Bronco six guys on here. You probably are familiar with as well.
