Al - I have a question for you?

I found another source here local for six blocks.

He has a couple, and he is asking a fair price for them.
(Not the 250.00 I posted about last week)

Here is the thing, for the 4 cyl T-5 swap I am planning what block is the best to get?

He has a C8 out of a 69 falcon.
And a couple of later 80's blocks with low mount starters.

I know the C8 has the dual bell I need, but are there advantages to going with the later 80's blocks?

Thanks Al, I appreciate that.

That is what I thought, but it never hurts to be sure.

Al:

I have another one for ya?

I started shopping around for T-5's out of 4cyl mustangs and found several here in Atlanta in the price range of 1000.00-1250.00 bucks rebuilt with waranty...

Here is the thing. What was the deal with the shifter location?
Do I remember right there are forward and rear locations for these shifters? Or are they all the same. Which do I need? I have seen pics of them with the shifters located forward and rear?

I am planning on using a Hearst shifter for the T-5 in my final setup.
I got the manual clutch and brake pedal assembly from a 65 mustang 6 cyl manual 3spd. I am getting closer to having all of this in place.
