Update on Rack/DB progress

Al,

Sound's interesting. Is there any chance this rack will eventually "be made" to work with granada spindles? I know I'm getting ahead of you a bit, but will be deciding in the next week or so if I am going to order a new steering box or hold off until after I move.

I would like to offer my input on escort brakes, if I may. I have a '93, and for a car of it's size they do a fairly good job of stopping it, but do not have good heat resistance and warp easily. I do drive in a spirited manner, so that does not help :wink: but I'm wondering how well they would hold up on a heavier car.

I don't know much about the infinity stuff- if you are going 5 lug anyhow, what is the advantage of that over using the granada spindles with tie rod adaptors and the PBR calipers? Price? I'm not trying to knock your ideas, just tryin' to understand :wink: as well as reviewing if my current plans (dropped fatman granada spindles with tie rod adaptors and for now, stock calipers) are good or need revising.

Al,
there's a 79 or 80 (pre-FOX) Granada in my buddy's yard, let me know if you want anything off it when I get back mid-May...I was going to snag the carb (it's a 250)...I could probably get the spindles for a song. Maybe trade for a pilot bushing if we think my x-flow won't toast a 4-cyl T-5...or do you know where any decent V-8 T-5's are?
