Idler arm bushing replacement
Getting the sleeve out of the idler arm, to replace the bushing. It appears to be seized in there. I tried heating it with a propane torch. Nothing. I am gonna soak it in penetrating fluid tonight.

air chizel, or press
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!
I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone!

Re: Idler arm bushing replacement
If you get the ruber out of the center than you can use a hack saw cut almost through the bushing in a couple places. Than you can drivr it out with hamer and chizel, punch or ......
You can also get a low priced air chizel at harbor freight.

Re: Idler arm bushing replacement
Thanks Bubba, the rubber came right out, as half of it was missing/worn.
. I will give the hacksaw/chisel a try.
