1963 Falcon Suspension Questions

Post #1 by CoupeBoy » Tue Nov 15, 2011 5:48 pm

What is the widest 16" tire that will fit in the stock fenderwells?
Is there any non-destructive methods for squeaking in slightly wider tires? (no new wheel wells, flares, or mini-tubs)
What anti-sway bar size would you recommend for a convertible with a 250?
Has anybody welded in stronger mount points for larger diameter swaybars?
Opinions on rear swaybars? (I am thinking about relocating the stock front to the rear)
Does anybody make/sell subframe connectors for convertibles?
What company makes the best leaf springs?

I'm going with the 16" rims because I want to use Mustang Steve's SN95 adapters, I sent him an email and he said that with the normal 'GT' front rotors and calipers I would clear 16" (Cobra/Shelby rotors required 17")

I've read a few posts on here that people were saying that the larger diameter swaybars would cause 'failure' of the stock mounting points if they were too large.

Any thoughts on swapping out the shock tower caps to use more common Mustang ones?
Does anybody make an export or monte carlo brace for these birds?
