upgrade the six-cylinder Falcon suspension

Post #1 by djfalcon10 » Wed Jun 21, 2017 9:34 pm

i have a 65 ford falcon with a 6 cylinder suspension. The motor is a 300 6. I still have the 4 lug wheels And i would like to keep the 4 lug wheels. The oil pan on the motor has a center hump.. So what can i do to improve it. Without going to a v8 suspension.thanks.

Yes There are Severial things you can do to improve the chassis and handling. Like a front disk brake kit, different spring rates and adjustable shocks, front and rear sway bar upgrades, watts link or panard rear sway bar. Do the Shelby (Arning) LCA drop, change steering box ratio, add roller bearing ideler arm, do roller bearing conversion to the lower spring & shock mount. Weld in some sub frame connectors, wider wheels, etc. depending on how you plan to use the car there could be more specific things to be done. Good luck
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.
