Drool over this

Post #1 by THE FRENCHTOWN FLYER » Sat Apr 15, 2017 10:51 pm

My friends just installed an upgraded EFI 300 crossflow engine in their car. They dyno tested it first and while I did not ask them if I could print the HP numbers I will say this normally aspirated, race gas burning racing engine made HP numbers usually associated with some of the best turbo'd engines. They dynoed it to well past 9000 RPM.

And, of course, you just don't hit the national circuit with one engine - you'll need spares.

Those pictures aren't very browser friendly. Can't really see much. They are small.

Not sure if you can re-size and reload. I'd love to see more.

Thanks

Any video of it running to 9k? I would love to hear what 4.9L NA sounds like at that RPM.

They use the Alan Johnson solid billet head that was once in the Ford Racing catalog. Its probably better if the pics can't be enlarged lest some competitors scale some of the critical dimensions off the photo.

As far as what it sounds like here's a youtube vid from a few years back, when they were running mechanical FI.
