How wide is the rear end? Measure it from flange to flange and somebody will probably be able to help.

There are actually quite a few 65-7 9" econoline rear ends out there. This is your best bet.

Problem is finding one local for you.

Give me your e-mail, I can post it on the Yahoo econoline groups, there are members not far from you, someone is bound to have an extra.

You can also go to the Yahoo group messages and search, there are some other rearends that are a direct bolt on ('64 galaxy, I believe), but these are rarer than the econolines.

You will also need brake backing plates, drums, hubs, and a specific driveline. With that 170, you will need a small u-joint x big u-joint configuration. Some of the military econolines were specked out that way (SB6 x 9").

Vic's in North Hollywood...you'ld need to take I5 to LA...then get the 10 east, or up over the grapevine before heading to Lost Wages...he's got several, probably whatever ratio you want.

PS Vic's got a lot of Gen II econoline parts too, so Mutt, if you are needing anything, he's a good source.

thats quite doable....and I want a set of doors with window channel in them, & a side door w/o glass......hmmmmmm. The junkyards around here charge astronomical prices for stuff because of the really big demand from Mexico. The yards have teams of guys stripping rigs & shippin the parts South.
i can spend many a happy hour in junkyards, but aint never seen anything like the $ they want around here.
So, the offer stands..........

agreed its out of they way for sure, besides the rivers are expected to flood by this weekend so I'm gonna be busier than heck sandbaging and trying to keep the water and sewer system functioning. gonna put this off for a few weeks till things get back to normal.
