All,

As an homage to Mike Winterboer (AzCoupe), the guys who for years skinned their knuckles, blew things up, wrote a book, get stuff made, do the shouldn't be doable, tune our dizzys, share their knowledge, fight spammers, and greet the new guys:

That's great!!! That's exactly the kind of graphic I want for a Vintage Inlines shirt. Who did the drawing?

Very nice! I like it!

My only comment, what's the significance of the Hawk/Eagle?
Mike was WAY into Cats! To much in fact!

Also better check with Dave Schjeidahl on using his book in there!

Totally didn't get Falcon out of that! Obvious now of course!

How about a "Mr. Inline" somewhere?

Howdy Perry and All:

Sorry to be so late in responding. Been AFK for a week. I'd give you a great big, "SURE" on the graphic. IF it ever becomes a T shirt, We are in. It is an extreme pleasure to have our Handbook in the hands of one of the originals. Thanks for putting our book in his right hand.

Hi as a sidelight I am having a cartoon falcon character drawn for the side of my upcoming drag race 62 Ranchero. I will post it when complete. It will be a real eye catcher and will put a smile on your face. Fun

I know I'm not around much these days, I like the drawing. I would think that some script around the graphic " Keep it Inline" on the top and then below AzCoupe and under that "The GodFather of the Ford( or Blue Oval, so as to not tick off the boys in Dearborne) Inline 6"

FordSix Graphic Tee and Hoodie Mockups

Post #14 by 1966Mustang » Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:53 pm

Hello,

Here's a mock-up from the screen printer I've been talking to - Prince Ink in Norfolk, VA. These are hand crafted, Made in the USA by a group of craftspeople a block from my office. The printing is on the backside of both.

The Tee shirt is a Bella+Canvas brand in Athletic Gray - really comfortable.

On the hoodie, the graphic is below where the hood would come when not over your head. It is a Tultex brand pullover hoodie in heather gray.

I hadn't specified any logo or anything on the front of either.

shirts-back-bord.png

Let me know what you think - I will post more details soon!

Thanks,

Perry

For the first pass, I think these 2 shirt options are what will be offered. For subsequent things we will have more options. I really wanted this initial offering to be more of an homage to Mike and the board and it's legacy thus far. I have something else I am working on too

:hmmm: The reason that I asked about the type of hoodie was if it warms up a bit after you go out, with a pull over you have to remove it to try and get comfortable. Then you might get a bit uncomfortable because of a breeze starting. With a zip up,you can just zip it up a bit to help cut the wind.Makes it much easier to deal with changing conditions.

I like the zip up better also. If it is able to be switched that would be good. But I will be buying them either way.

Hey, I'll throw in my two pennies too: pocket t-shirts. If you do t-shirts, I like them with a pocket. I don't smoke but I use an i-pod to listen, or I need a pouch for small screws or whatever. Really nice when you work. If the price is a problem, then don't. Like he said up there, I'll get one anyway.

Perry, Logo looks awesome. I think if you are paying homage to Mike one of the older Fordsix logos on the left front would be great. I know Mike would have loved the logo too. Thanks guys.
P.S. I would be in for a pull over hoodie!

Hi All,

I had to recreate and simplify the graphic a bit since it's going on the T-shirt pocket. Keep in mind that each color is another step/screen/handling in the process (which is why everything is blue in this example but can be whatever color).

Let me know if we've got some consensus! :D

Perry, great idea, but Jack Collins if i'm not mistaken was the founder?
I think i would delete any name from the shirt & the hooded sweat shirt.
Otherwise looks fantastic. Any idea on cost when you fix the logo?? Bill

I think i would delete any name from the shirt & the hooded sweat shirt.
Otherwise looks fantastic. Any idea on cost when you fix the logo?? Bill

Yes it was Jack that started this Forum and Mike was one of the original members of this forum. AZCoupe took over after jack stepped down IIRC. Mike worked his tail on off the parts business and the forum and after awhile they were pretty much synonymous with each other.Suggesting to remove the name I feel would be an insult to those here on the forum that have been here from the get go and to those that were his customers.

I understand your local friend Mike really got the Classic Inlines business as the major supplier, but we need to look at exposure of the Ford Six Forum Logo as the future.
With names on it it's just too wordy.
Mike is gone & we need to roll on.
You may not like that ,but that's my opinion.

Hi all,

For this go-around - this is what we've got. One 'Homage' shirt to honor the past then whatever comes after will be in a new direction (simpler design/less printed colors and some different things)

I've created a sign-up form on google docs:
https://goo.gl/forms/m7lTlYe3hlZ95mnO2

Please go there and fill out the form so I can send the numbers to the screen printer. The price is $24 for the Tee and $47 for the Zip Up Hoodie. I have not factored in any sort of shipping at this point. That is just the price for the garment. There are minimums I hope to hit (25 tees and 25 hoodies). Hopefully we have at least 50 members :D

Let's get this done quick!

Thanks!

Perry, the logo on the front is all that's necessary. I am not interested because of the logo on the back. I would only be interested if the logo on the front was all that was on the apparel.
The logo on the back makes the apparel look trashy, not fashionable.Sorry

Hmm... maybe try a different web browser, or PM me with what you'd like.

Thanks,

Perry
