Hello everyone, Greetings from the North West!

Couldn't get that map app to come up, think the link is broken now. Anyways, I'm clocking in from Vancouver Canada. Really glad to be on Fordsix, I've already soaked up a wealth of information just browsing the forums. :)

My project is a 1961 M100 Unibody, with a stock 223.

Hello from (what used to be) The Motor City. I'm not sure what they call us anymore.
My boys are at the age where they want to impress their friends with greasy fingernails and bad gas mileage, so class has begun. We're tearing down a couple 300's and having some fun.
I've been out of the, parts swappin - how'd you do it, loop for quite some time and I'm hoping to find a few friends here to help me get back up to speed.
I'm feeling more like I did this morning than I do now!

Hi: I'm a Ford Six guy hear in central North Carolina, near Winston-Salem. I'm in the process of restoring a 63 F100 Flareside short bed PU. My first NEW vehicle was a 63 F100 long bed Styleside PU. Instead of keeping the 292 Y block engine, I'm going to the 300/4.9L engine with a Ford AOD auto trans. Looking forward to working with all of you Ford Sixers.

Byron, MN. Looking to get my 66 Mustang Convertible back to stock, beginning with a new stock carb. I see Pony Carbs has been acquired. What is the best option for replacing my original carb? Many thanks, and many more questions to come! Lou.

I am in Michigan in a little town outside Grand Rapids. I presently have 2 1962 Ford Falcon 4 doors both 144 sixes one with a 170 head one an automatic and the other a 3 speed column shift. One of the reasons I am here is to get some hints hopefully that will inexpensively get these cars to get up to 50 mph in less than a mile. And I am also looking to find additional places to get parts for the cars. Things like gas tanks just minor parts. Seriously I do need a few pieces of metal to replace some I have found on ebay but since they have changed their format it is almost impossible to find anything as they give you wrong parts when you do a search. So thats it in a nutshell.

On the most recent Documentaries they are calling Detroit the city that was. They believe that it's strictly a city that is gone to rubble and dust. I grew up in Detroit and they only showed the parts of the city that have crumbled like a lot of the factories. It's a shame they didn't show the whole city. There are parts of the city that I think are being reclaimed by the citizens.

I have a pair of 62 Falcons and one of them is going to get a 200 six with a C-4 and a maverick rear end. First I have to tear it down and clean everything rebuild the lower end and put a a few parts on it like headers and a ported and polished head and a progressive 2 bbl. Good luck with your 300's the 200 is the biggest I could use and put it in my Falcon without putting a hood scoop on it.

Interesting it won't let you continue unless you respond to an existing post. Either way I am looking for an inexpensive way to get my cars running on the highway without having the motor screaming like it is going to blow it's top. Presently at 50 mph it has reached it's top end so I have bought a few parts to add a little high end in the drivetrain. Hopefully the parts (when I get to them as I had my hip replaced less than two weeks ago) will allow me to bring it up to a more manageable drive down the highway it's quite aggravating when all you can hear is the motor topped out at 50 mph. Any suggestions to help this along without having my wife kill me when she finds out what I am spending on the cars without even doing to body work or the paint would be greatly appreciated.
