I believe that figure to be in error.

That is about the weight of a 79-80 2 door hard top coupe with 4 cylk and 4 speed and no a/c.

The Capri was never offered in a hard top coupe configuration.

My 1979 Capri Turbo RS was listed as weighing weighed 2779lbs and that was manual trans, no a/c, aluminum rear brake drums, and aluminum front and rear bumpers.
