The only thing I've been working on is trying to get rid of a wheel hop problem and trying to get it to hook up.

Got that pretty much under control now so when I go back again on the 30th I can do some carb tuning.

Just thought I would share... :D

So your dial-in would be 15.26?

Just about any of those times I listed ;) ....its not very consistant yet being I was playing with tire pressures, shift points, launch rpm's, etc ,etc.

The times listed in April was when it wheel hopped like crazy and I was granny shifting it.

I ditched my old traction bars and rear shocks for some Summit slapper bars and new rancho drag shocks.

Doesnt wheel hop as much....

1st of June I'm buying a new set of Cal-Tracs and that should end my traction problems.

All these times were on the friday night "test & tunes" where you pay $20.00 and make as many passes as you want to.

Plugs are wierd so I'm going to stagger jet it and see how it likes that.

Pretty nice times there. What's that, a 5 second reduction from your original time?

Yep! :D :D

Original times for stock was 20.9 seconds at 59 mph IIRC.....

Actually almost 6 second reduction and 30 mph increasce.

Not bad for 206 ci.

Doug,

I'm sure they're here somewhere, but could you take a minute to repost the list of modifications you've made to the Mustang to get it running 15 second quarters with a 206 cubic inch six? Alternatively a link to a web page or message thread that lists them would be fine, too.

Thanks.

:)

I looked through both of my websites and I dont see any info in them either.....

Nothing about the aluminum head too....Guess its time to update them a bit ! :)

I launch it @ 3500 rpm's, shift it @ 6200 rpm's and it goes through the traps @ 5200 rpms.

I need more rear gear so I'm trying out some lower profile tires next time I go to the track.

Guess thats about everything. :D

I am curious on the tire height you have now... & going to?

I have 25 inch tall tires . I am thinking of installing my 4.11 gears in car when I get the fresh 200cid engine ready.

Doug,

Thanks for all the info about the car. It looks to me like you've got a lot of the right stuff in that car.

But wow, you're using a 600 CFM 4 barrel Holley? I'm certainly no expert, but that sounds like a whole lot of carb for an engine of that size. Have you tried any other carbs on it since you built the engine with the Classic Inlines head?

I mean, I'm not one to argue with a combination that's getting the kinds of results you are, but I guess I'm curious about this and wondering if I need to retune my own thinking about carb sizes a bit.

:)
