Vacuum Leak?

Hey guys! So my problem of idling high continues. It seems as though i have a vacuum leak. The car starts up and runs at about 2000 + rpms and if you put your foot all the way into it, it falls flat on its face and dies. I have taken carb cleaner and shot it all along the intake manifold and carb and it raises the engine about 500rpms and then falls back to about 2000rpms. I made my own gaskets for the intake and even put gasket sealer all over the intake/head and gaskets. I have new gaskets and even sealed the gaskets/carb base with gasket sealer. Everything is tight and i still have this problem. My setup is a CI Head, 4160 carb, 278 cam, 10 to 1 comp. I need some help!

thanks,

Curtis

Check the area between the intake manifold gaskets and where the exhaust manifold gaskets are at.

There are several areas that are really close to each other and if you dont shave the gaskets they will overlap and cause a vacuum leak.
