Valve seals

What kind of valve seals are working well on the aluminum head?? I have some 5/16 x 0.500 PC seals from CI, but they seem to be way too small to fit over the guides. Guides are about 0.530 OD seals are 0.460 ID.

My machinist used his own seals, not the C.I. seals that were supplied in the kit.

Thanks, I ordered some of those viton seals from Alex's Parts on ebay. I will post when I get them and see if or how they work.

While the .530 will slip right on, I use .500 seals on every head I assemble for two reasons. It improves the seal to spring clearance, and they stay on better. Just good insurance from my point of view. ;)

However, I now stock .530 seals for those who prefer to use them.

Here's what the guides look like after they have been machined with a valve cutter.
