Not really hard tech, but any opinions on using oil through lifters with in non oil through applications ..It would help the people that may want to change to through applications at a latter date.
I have done it but worried that that it would leak too much oil. and started plugging the holes , but that would make it hard to go to oil through again...This was on a solid lifter app. with solid pushrods.
So the question is would the oil leaking out between the lifter cup and the pushrod ball be a problem and would it make a difference if it was solid or hydraulic ? Also what about oil through pushrods with this scenario.

On all my 200's i run the 289-351 V-8 oil through lifter, but with a non oiling pushrod .150" shorter cause the V-8 lifter is .150" taller.
That was with a hydraulic camshaft.
I always do this cause if i want to convert to the Yella-Terra rocker arms i don't have to worry about a lifter change.
