IF you need head work or a complete rebuild take a look at Dexter Manufacturing. The are very well know in the town and for a good reason. They have done many different motors from a EFI 302, to a Maserati V-8, to the hot rod standard 350 Chebby, and even a EFI motor for a Ford Model A, and Demolition Derby cars every year. I had a 300 carb head that I wanted to have magnafluxed and valves re-done that was all. I received a call saying that when they did the valves they were .008 sloppy and that the head needed work because it was warped. For a complete set of valves, guides, re-plaining and magnafluxed I was out for under 250 IIRC closer to 200. I called there once to ask if they had a bore gage that I could buy because the local parts store could not get them, one guy gave me his personal bore gage from the shop to take home and use my self with out any heckling for not bringing the motor to them. Take a look at for more info.
