CA - Bay area - LOYD ENGINEERING

Post #1 by RichCreations » Mon Feb 08, 2016 8:52 pm

Reasonable prices, very good work! Builds engines for a lot of local circle track guys, recommended to me separately by several people. Did an amazing job cleaning/boring/honing/decking my block.

It is a small shop, so I am sure it varies, but I dropped my block off friday, it was ready tuesday.

They even managed to clean all the rust scale out of the water jackets.

Cleaned the block, bore/hone, decked, main/head threads chased, installed new freeze plugs, new cam bearings, broken timing cover bolt removed/rethreaded all for $300.

I knew I was dealing with a good shop, when several friends unrelated to each other (in different walks of life) recommended them as their first choice, including one who lives in sacramento.

I am here is the bay area for a temp time and I have had no help from any of the shops around this area.
There is a guy down in Livermore that is building my head right now. Not sure how the outcome will be, but he has been around for a long time, so i hope he does a good job.
