Direct Injection?

Has anyone ever worked up a fuel injection system for a 300 six similar to what is used on a v8 sprint car? What I have in mind is six short intake tubes coming out from the head, angled slighhtly up so they are pointed as directly as possible at the back side of the intake valve. I can work out the fabrication portion ok but what does one use for a pump / trigger to deliver the fuel?

One caveat , mechanical fi is basically WOT for racing. Not streetable.

Unless you want to go fully boogie redlight to redlight.
