TFI or EDIS....

looking to add spark control to my mega squirt. kind of new to both setups. what are the pros and cons to these? Is the TFI reliable? im kind of leaning towards it.

the motor is currently stock now but i would like to throw 6-8 lbs of boost at it someday.

TFI is reliable. EDIS is just more stable and tunable. It does take a wheel on the crank snout to work, whereas TFI does not.

I have a TFI setup for my 200, but haven't had time to set it all up yet. I also don't have the MegaSquirt part, but I do have a computer off a 3.8 V6. It should work fairly well.

yeam i know about the crank wheel and having to fab up a pick up bracket. im just wondering if it is worth the trouble to go with EDIS or simply slap a TFI in there.

Dunno. Probably not for street use. An all-out racer would see improvements thanks to the completely stable timing events that distributors just don't have. I might do it in the future if I'm bored.
