Just a thought on Ford CFI

After reading posts in MPGMustangs thread I got thinking and wanted to run this by the Ford Six council Sages.

My log head is mildly ported and has big valves. Top of log is milled and has Holley 2300 series adapter plate.

Since the Ford CFI unit will bolt up to the Holley 2300 plate I can bolt up the Ford CFI.

But my worry about running TBI/CFI on a turbo motor is that the two factory injectors are too small to support engine under boost. For that reason I decided not to pursue EFI on the log head.

But just now I got to thinking.

Doesnt Megasquirt II support extra injectors?

For instance when boost comes on cant Megasquirt II fire the extra injectors to squirt fuel in to keep A/F's correct?

Setup is a log head, about 8.0:1CR, 274deg-.450" lift - 110deglobe center cam, and A T3 turbo .63/.60

I will have to look into it.

I know on MS3x you can (use the two mainboard injectors for stages)

not sure you can do that on the stock drivers.

would it be possible to mod the stock CFI unit to take standard injectors? Like a small bolt on rail on the top of it with larger passages?

don't forget you have to find a way to seal the injector wiring for it too.
