1996 F-150 Digital Odometer

Post #1 by FordThunder » Wed Mar 11, 2020 9:15 pm

Hello all,

I had some questions. 1996 f-150 300ci. I finally met my goal and hit 400,000 miles. In fact, I worked hard to earn that moment. But instead of changing to 400,000 it set back to 300,000. Is this a cluster problem? Is it possible to set it to the correct mileage? This is a digital odometer. Thanks.

It looks like it takes some special equipment to work on these electronic speed o meters. I don't know what the actual Milage limit is for them but In theory it should go all the way up to 999,999.9 before it resets. So sounds like a malfunction. Below is a video link that talks about a companies services on these type speedometers, hope it gives you some clues. Good luck

A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.
