Extra plugs in engine bay

Post #1 by smokeum99ta » Wed Jul 29, 2015 9:05 pm

So I recently bought a 83 f250 w/ a 300 in it. I've been going thru it trying to get everything to function correctly again. And I've noticed several plugs in my engine bay that are just sitting there. I'd like to know what there for.
-one of the alternator w/ single wire
-two under the air cleaner both have 4 wires on them.
-two by the brake booster close to the firewall both single wires
-and one coming out of the wire cluster between dist. and fuel pump.
Any ideas what they could be? I can get some pictures if that would help out.

Well some pictures might help, but I can tell you that sometimes a Ford wire harness might have some extra plugs that are for circuits for optional equipment that your truck might not have built with. Good luck
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.
