What are the correct u joints for 1966 mustang with c4 tranny and 200ci motor. Duralast part numbers?

This is important to me because I have a driveline vibration and I think it may be improper application of u joints. I've been researching and have not come up with clear answer. And I think everything is stock.

Try rotating the drive shaft 180" then rebolt it to the diff. flange. It may have been out of phase.
If your driveshaft is a 2 piece joined by a rubber fit, the front ujoint may be out of phase with the rear joint.
The only solution is replace the driveshaft & make sure it is balanced.
If you still have problems check pinion angle to match the tailshaft angle.
67 mustang,C-4, with mod. 80 hd, custom 500 cfm carb with annular boosters, hooker headers, dual exh.-X pipe, flowmaster mufflers, DSII dist. MSD-6425CL & MSD-Blaster 8252 Coil. Engine 205" .030" over with offset ground crank & 1.65 roller rockers. 9.5 comp., Isky 262 cam.

In order to know the correct part number of U Joints you would also need to know if you orginally had inside or outside lock rings. Good luck :nod:

I am hunting for a cheap project car to build up. My Ex-Fleet of Sixes sadly these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Inside lock rings with one inch cup at transmission. But I think at rear end the inch works for the drive shaft but the pinion yoke is larger " I think " . Surley someone have changed the u joints on these 50 year old cars. If your rear drive shaft joint is two different sizes like 1 inch for shaft and larger for yoke you probably would have noticed that. Any feed back will be appreciated.

Ok so a 1966 Mustang 200 with C4 and if your driveshaft uses the inside lock rings then the Duralast part number is 1-3600DL for the front U Joint and 1-2173DL for the rear U Joint. Good luck :nod:
