So I am seeing T5 shortshifters from $30 on ebay upto $300 on various sites. I have been out of the stang game for about 10yrs now. We did a T-5 swap after we got our 66 back 11yrs ago. But haven't done anything to it since. Does anyone know what short shifter kits will work with the T-5 in the 66? I can't remember much about the transmission or where it came from. I think my father in law sourced it for us. Anything I need to know? Any particular shifter to look at?
Making stuff fit is no problem. Just not sure what is cross compatible or if there are any issues. with this. If I had the time I would just machine my own but alas, I think it would take more time than it would be worth.

In my experience with the t5 differences between the ch**y and ford versions: the differences were in the bolt pattern on the case that the bell housing bolted to and also differences between the length of the out put shaft and tail stock as well as the location of the shifter on the tailstock. I found that the shifter itself was interchangeable and I actually used the ford svo mustang shifter on a chevette t5 tailstock and a jeep comanche main housing with an s10 bellhousing because the jeep and s10 shifters were way too long.
