2 Speed Fordomatic

Post #1 by notar61 » Mon Apr 29, 2019 11:11 am

Hello! I have some questions about finishing the install of a 2 speed Fordomatic in my 61 Comet. It has "PCF" on the transmission's ID tag if that helps with any of my questions

I've got it in the car and all the linkage hooked up, but there are 2 details that are throwing me for a loop.

In the attached image, what is tube that I have circled and labeled "1"? Do I need to have something hooked up to it?

Also where the label "2" is, I have a fitting for some type of connection. It looks like the fittings for the trans cooler lines, but they are on the the other side of the transmission case. Any idea what this would be for?

Thanks for any help and let me know if I need to provide any more information. Thanks!

I think 1 is a excess pressure build up tube. I believe nothing gets hooked up to it. The C4 has something similar

I think 2 is the vacuum port to the engine.
