1966 mustang six cylinder disc brake conversion six cylinder 5 lug

Post #1 by caveblazin » Sun Feb 19, 2017 9:04 pm

Has anyone gone this route with there brake setup? It appears you can convert your drums up front to a 5 lug setup using your stock spindles. I contacted them regarding adding a dual bowl MC and they said they could make a kit with that for an additional $150 any issues seen here? To convert your 4 lug to 5 lug and get disc brakes as well as a power MC that sounds good to me.

Looks like a decent kit and I can't see any problems with it. You might also check out the Scare Bird disk brake kits (see below? A number of our site members have used them with good results. Good luck

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

I know some people look at $$. But, I would get a kit from CSRP. http://www.discbrakeswap.com/

At least you know what calipers and rotors you are getting and what will work in the future.

Personally, I would not use the 66-6 spindles they are a weak link.
